Tourist Time

Jaison has a multi-faceted ministry that involves pastoring a church an orphanage and overseeing the pastor training schools. He also has a three-year Bible college for men who are preparing for the ministry. Saturday morning Jason took me out to see his Bible college as well as the land we had bought for the future home of his ministry.

Home of the Bible College

There are ten men who are currently enrolled as students in the Bible college. They live here full-time as they make preparations for the ministry.

After visiting the Bible college Jaison took me to see the new property. In order to get to the property site we had to first cross a river on a ferry. I was reminded of the ferry that used to be the only way across Norfork lake near where I live.

Goa is in the closing weeks of the monsoon season so the property was overgrown with vegetation. But it is still a beautiful piece of land that will have lots of room to house the Pastor's Institutes and Jason's ministry.

After viewing the property we had to take another ferry to Panaji the capitol of Goa where we ate lunch at of all places - KFC. It seemed odd eating at KFC in India. They had two kinds of chicken to choose from - spicy and extra spicy. After lunch I went to the airport and left for Mumbai where I will spend the next week.
Mumbai is the sixth largest city in the world with a population of well over 20 million. I can't even begin to describe how busy this city is, especially the traffic. It took over two hours to make the drive from the airport to the southern part of the city where I will be staying this week.
I am now looking forward to another week of pastor training. This week I will be with pastor Chako Thomas and his Lighthouse Ministries.

20 million people--that is hard to imagine! Neat to get to see the piece of land and think what plans God has in store.

Have a great week!
