O.S. Hawkins, the president of the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention wrote a little book called The Joshua Principle: 52 Bible Verses Every Christian Should Know. The book challenges Christians to not only know these verses, but to memorize them. I felt like this was such an important challenge that I am going to base my preaching ministry for a year on the verses contained in this book. I am also going to challenge the church I pastor as well as those who read this blog to memorize these verses.
Beginning on September 4th and continuing for the next year I will post a verse and some thoughts about the verse on a weekly basis.
